Age Groups
Tinies 2 – 5 years
Girls and Boys who love to perform, dance, sing and “put on a show” will find their happy place at The Dance and Theatre Factory. Through fun, games, imaginative play and music children will learn the fundamentals of dance, drama and singing in the DANCE START or MUSICAL THEATRE START classes.

DANCE START and MUSICAL THEATRE START teachers use their experience in early childhood development to enable students to build confidence, co-ordination, balance and musicality while nurturing the young learners’ passion.

Juniors 6 – 8 years
Students in the junior age group are ready to develop foundation technique and performance skills and progress through the levels as they grow.

Juniors can participate at a ‘just for fun’ level or extend their training and participate in examinations, eisteddfods and live performances.
Juniors love to try everything, and our classes are just the right duration for them to manage trying them all.
Juniors can explore a large range of classes and build a package that suits. Our popular packages are Musical Theatre that includes Jazz and Tap with Drama and Singing or our extended Training and Examinations package preparing students for Royal Academy of Dance RAD ballet examinations.

Pre-Teen 9 – 12 years
Students in the pre-teen age group are ready to build on foundation technique and performance skills and continue to progress through the levels and increase their expertise as dancers, singers and actors.
We welcome new students at any age. Pre-teens are fantastic at learning quickly and catching up and at this level can develop a solid foundation to progress to the teen levels.

Pre-teens can also take part at a ‘just for fun’ level or continue to extend their training and participate in examinations, eisteddfods and live performances.
Pre-teens love to socialize with like-minded friends, and we encourage teamwork and nurture a supportive environment for our students to freely express themselves and their creativity.
Pre-teens can explore a large range of classes and build a package that suits. Our popular packages are Musical Theatre that includes Jazz and Tap with Drama and Singing or our extended Training and Examinations package preparing students for Royal Academy of Dance RAD ballet examinations.

Teens 13+ years
We welcome new students at any age. Teens are fantastic at learning quickly and catching up and at this level can still develop a solid foundational technique to progress to higher levels and with their friends.
For Teens who are more experienced we work to refine dance, singing and acting technique and performance artistry and broaden the range of skills for a potential career in the performing arts.

Teens can also take part at a ‘just for fun’ level. Teens love to socialize with like-minded friends, and we encourage teamwork and nurture a supportive environment for our students to freely express themselves and their creativity.
Our teens have access to professional tutors and teachers and our extended VET training options through the Academy of Dance and Musical Theatre who can mentor students towards further studies or a career in the performing arts
